DPA 6 Acts and Propositions
Promulgation of the Acts and Propositions
of the Sixth Diocesan Pastoral Assembly of Digos
on the 24th day of July, in the year of Our Lord, two thousand fifteen.
After having reviewed the final texts of the Acts and Propositions on the nine pastoral priorities of the Sixth Diocesan Pastoral Assembly, celebrated last November 11-13, 2014 in Laderas Function Hall, Digos City, as presented to me by the Executive Committee, I, Guillermo D. Afable, D.D., Diocesan Bishop of Digos, do hereby solemnly promulgate these Acts and Propositions of the Sixth Diocesan Pastoral Assembly, and order the further study and planning for the implementation of the propositions within the next three to five years.
We do well to remember that we have undertaken this communional task of pastoral review and discernment in the light of St. John Paul II’s exhortation in Novo Millennio Ineunte to go into the deep waters (duc in altum). And more, immediately, we undertake this spiritual and pastoral renewal in response to the Church’s challenge of NEW EVENGELIZATION, which we in the Philippines have collectively adopted since the onset of PCP II and in this present ERA OF NEW EVANGELIZATION – the nine years prior to the Jubilee of our Christianization in the year 2021. We all need, therefore, to BE BRAVE to LIVE CHRIST AND SHARE CHRIST.
I entrust these Acts and Propositions of the Sixth Diocesan Pastoral Assembly to our Blessed Mother Mary Mediatrix of all Grace that she might deign to assist us in the tasks that lie ahead of us. May San Isidro Labrador, our Patron intercede for all of us who accept and undertake to fulfill our mission of a renewed Church, to the Praise and Glory of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Adveniat Regnum Tuum.
(SGD) Guillermo D. Afable, D.D.
Bishop of Digos
