‘Creating a Faith Community Online’
It makes sense that one should not face/use computers and gadgets before going to sleep. Science is telling us that using our smartphones, for example, before bedtime is not good and healthy for us. “Forty percent (40%) of teenagers today cannot go to a deep sleep. This is alarming! Using iPads/tablets for babies is very bad,” says Mr. J. Poon, one of the speakers of the recently-concluded e-Evangelization (ICEE) in Hong Kong last June 26-29, 2015.Themed ‘Creating a Faith Community Online,’ members of different Catholic organizations, clergy, pastoral workers and parishioners learned about spreading the good news online.
The 4-day conference was filled with interactive sharing of thoughts and study results such as the Facebook and Youth in the Philippines as shared by Mr. Anthony Roman from the Federation of Asian Bishops Conference (FABC). Delegates from all over the world were housed in Bishop Lei International House, managed by the Catholic Diocese of Hong Kong. It was hoped that all participants will be sharing the inputs gathered to their respective ministries.
