Vicariate chips in .5M for DXGN

FOUR parishes belonging to Sta. Ana Vicariate are donating Five Hundred Thousand Pesos (P500,000) to the Archdiocese of Davao for the purpose of putting back on air its radio station, DXGN Spirit FM.

San Antonio de Padua Parish has already given P50,000 as of this writing. The other P50,000 is due to be given. It also launched its “25c Para sa Radyo ko” campaign last April. San Antonio de Padua Parish made its initial donation from its administrative fund and from a month-long second collection during the Sunday Masses.

Meanwhile, the Our Lady of Fatima and Sacred Heart Parishes are also donating P100,000 each. Sta. Ana Parish, on the other hand, is donating P200,000.

According to the Vicar Forane Fr. Leonie H. España, the four parishes will individually give its donation to the Archdiocese. When he was asked if it had a deadline, he answered, “last week of May.” He added that he had to check on the parishes if they had made their donations already. (Elena Corazon Mozo)
