YFC-Calinan Welcomes 50 New Members

YOUTH For Christ (YFC) or also known Batan-on Para sa Ginoo is a Catholic organization or best known as a youth fellowship that constantly devotes and acknowledges Christ as supreme being over all creations. The organization recently initiated a 3-day camping for upcoming YFC members with the theme “Love Revolution John 21:15-19” held at Villafuerte Elementary School, Calinan, Davao City, May 8-10, 2015. It was made possible through the support of affiliated organizations, Singles For Christ and the Couples For Christ.

Talks that truly moved the 50 aspirants were the following: God’s love and His plan for us, Who is Jesus Christ to me?, Repentance, Healing, Faith & Forgiveness, Receiving God’s gift and Growing with the Spirit. Speakers were Patrick Arasaga, Jesvelle Banaybanay, Maryvelle Banaybanay, Lorenz Taroja and Jestoni Buot. Heart-to-heart group open forum took place, as well.

Each individual was able to share his/her life experiences with God. Worships were joyfully and sincerely experienced by the participants as they were dancing and singing altogether for the glory of God. E-Night was staged on the last night of the camp. The youth showcased their talents. It was also during this night where participants were prayed over by the service team and finally became members of the YFC. Parents of the fresh YFC Batch 8 graduates surprisingly visited their children. (Teresa Marie Dumandan)
