Visit Samal 2015
The Department of Tourism of Davao del Norte invites foreign and Domestic tourists and Davaoñeos to come and visit Island Garden City of Samal (IGACOS) and its destinations not just the beaches but as also their waterfalls, caves, marine sanctuaries, giant clam enclave and world renowned fruit bat as they celebrate their 50th year of ‘Visit Samal Island.’
The LGU of IGACOS, DOT Davao Region and Samal Island Tourism Council initiated the ‘Visit Samal Island’ Campaign involving big discounts, special promo and packages of beach resorts and inland attraction all over the island from April to May 2015.
According to Ms. Gene Tecson, President of Samal Island Tourism, the road in the city has been constructed for the easy travel of tourists and visitors.
The DOT will launch the Visit Samal 2015 at Peñaplata freedom park this comimg May 28 to 30, 2015. One of the highlights of this activity is the “Pikaysan Cultural Festival” which means unity. Featuring the arts and crafts of Samal tribe headed by the group of musicians and artist both from Davao and Samal to be held at Sunset beach.
