Our Lady of Manaoag: Bringer of Joy
Every third Wednesday of Easter, we celebrate the Feast of the Our Lady of Manaoag. As a Marian devotion, we remember Mama Mary who keeps on calling us to pray the Holy Rosary for peace, unity and conversion.
The Archdiocese of Davao is blessed to have the Our Lady of Manaoag Prayer Community (OLMPC) with their chapel in Lapu-lapu Street, Agdao, Davao City. They have become a home for the lost, a refuge for sinners, a healing for the sick and a consoler for the needy.
“Journeying with Mary in Solidarity with the Poor”, the OLMPC has been helping a lot of our Pastoral Agencies since the past. In particular, OLMPC has been committed, as one of their apostolates, to the distribution and delivery of our very own Asia’s longest-running Catholic newspaper, the Davao Catholic Herald. Every first Saturday of the month, the OLMPC reaches out to the poor by bringing our newspaper to our parishes. Indeed, like Mama Mary, they have become bringers of joy.
To Sis. Mel Montillo, head-servant, Sr. Fe, the secretary, Dodong, the driver and to the supportive members and leaders, our deepest gratitude! Thank you OLMPC!
Happy Fiesta to Our Lady of Manaoag!
