Mary visits Davao
The pilgrim image of the Our Lady of Fatima visited Davao City and Digos City as part of its Philippine tour this year.
The image arrived in Davao City International Airport, March 3 and was welcomed with a motorcade and followed with a Holy Mass officiated by Auxiliary Bishop of Davao George Rimando at the Our Lady of Fatima Parish, Davao City where it stayed until the end of the Holy Mass of Archbishop Romulo G. Valles the following Day, at 12:00 noon.“I am happy to see the Blessed Mother here in Davao. I prayed to her that she will intercede in my prayers,” said Christina Lao, 56, a parishioner of St. Mary of the Perpetual Rosary Parish, Buhangin in Davao City.
She added that she prayed that all conflicts around the world will end and the Lord will stop all calamities.
“I hope all people will continue to pray to the Lord,” she said.
The International Pilgrim Virgin Statue (IPVS) of Our Lady of Fatima, which came from Portugal, has also visited the Mary Mediatrix of All Grace Cathedral in Digos City, March 4 and came back to Davao City at Calasanz de Davao Academy in Baliok, Davao City the day after.
The pilgrim image then visited the Diocese of Tarlac on March 6, to continue its pilgrimage in the Philippines.
