UIC launches 25 cents for Spirit FM 89.9 DXGN Davao

The University of the Immaculate Conception supports the revival of Spirit FM 89.9 DXGN Davao.
In partnership with the Commission on Social Communications, UIC believes that radio broadcast still stands second to TV as a medium of information, that the 1.5 million population is a bountiful harvest to spread the Good News, and that it is our mission to evangelize the people at the periphery as Pope Francis says.

UIC President, S. Marissa Viri, RVM conceived the idea of constant contribution for the sustainability of the Archdiocesan radio station. Mineral water bottles will serve as their bank to be offered by the students during first Friday masses.

S. Paulette, RVM, High School department Campus Ministry Head said, “in this way, we are teaching our students to become evangelizers by their financial contribution.” Through radio broadcast they help spread the Good News since they cannot go to the barrios themselves to teach people our faith.

The launching was held in Bajada Campus on December 5, 2014 and in San Pedro Cathedral on December 8, 2014 during their fiesta Mass presided over by Most Rev. George B. Rimando, D.D., auxiliary bishop of Davao.
