SRCES teachers attend spiritual upliftment
The San Roque Central Elementary School teachers attended the spiritual upliftment sponsored by the Sacred Heart Parish headed by Msgr. Paul A. Cuison, JCD last August 25, 2014 at Sacred Heart Parish, Obrero, Davao City.
Bearing the theme: Teachers : Are called to be Saints . . . sent forth as heroes, the 42 participants realized their important role in molding the lives of the learners.
They are not just ordinary teachers but are unsung heroes in our community as they sacrifice their time, patience and family in imparting knowledge to the students and guide them to be better in their future endeavors.
They felt how lucky they are in this profession. Many are called but few are chosen to be heroes. To be a teacher is a big responsibility and need humongous patience and love for the lives of children.
That half day activity was indeed a heaping learning and knowledge about God and the profession from the brilliant minds of the speakers namely, Fr. Russell Bantiles and Ms. Teresa Ferrer.
The dancing and singing in worship allowed everyone to feel the presence of God and the belongingness to each other. The touching testimonies of Mrs. Belma D. Ebardo and Mrs. Imelda Calaycay made the teachers meditate for a second and had the realization that God is always there helping us unexpectedly. The facilitators and committee shared their time for the success of the activity.
The teachers went home with smiles on their faces not because of the sumptuous food served but the experience, inputs and encounteri with God as the best experience the teachers wouldn’t miss.
This question remains unanswered, “May susunod pa ba Father?”, the teachers asked. However, whatever will be the answer, what remains in the heart of the teachers is their ardent desire to be always involved in spiritual development. “Sana nga may susunod pa, Father”.
