CEAP Superintendents Commission National Assembly to discuss Directions of Catholic Schools towards Social Transformation
The CEAP (Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines) Superintendents Commission will hold its national assembly on September 21 to 23, 2014 at the Marco Polo Hotel in Davao City. This commission is composed of diocesan and congregational superintendents representing Catholic schools, colleges and universities in the country.
The theme for the assembly is “Catholic Identity and Mission: Key to Catholic School Effectiveness towards Social Transformation.” Church leaders will serve as resource persons on talks on the contextualization of the Philippine Catholic Schools Standards and Benchmarks for school-wide effectiveness. Their participation and input are expected to contribute greatly to a meeting of minds among the local ordinary, congregational superiors and superintendents on how to sustain the passion of Catholic educators in pursuing the delivery of a Catholic education that genuinely advocates and gives witness to social transformation.
The conference will also have discussions on advocacies and directions of the CEAP and the roll-out of the CSA (CEAP Superintendent’s Academy) modular programs. Also included in the conference strands are legal updates related to private education, government laws and directives, and regulatory bodies that affect the operation of and impinges on the primary mission of Catholic schools.
The 2014 National Assembly also provides the opportunity for members to elect a new set of officers for the following positions: Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Secretary and Auditor.
