Scholars of St. Mary project on its 2nd Year
Scholars of St. Mary Project was started last school year 2013-2014, with a total of 30 grade 7 students who were enrolled at Bernardo Carpio National High School, Cabantian National High and other nearby National High School. This project is spearheaded by the Parish Social Action Ministry (PSAM).
Through the help of parishioners, benefactors, the scholarship program continues on its second year of support to the indigent students of the different GKKs of St. Mary of the Perpetual Rosary Parish. For school year 2014-2015, the program caters to grade 7 and grade 8 students with a total of 48 enrolees.
There is an on-going formation for both students and parents which is conducted every first Sunday of the month. Mrs. Leonila Lastimosa, the project in-charge has lined-up seminars and input on the following topics: Basic Social Teaching of the Church, Principles of Catholic Faith, Laity, and Disaster Orientation Seminar.
The scholars are reminded also of their responsibilities as students and to get involved or participate in The Parish and GKK activities.
