OLLP ends two-year program, starts a new wave

The Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Bangkal ended its two-year program drafted last 2012. The three main parish ministries lined up their respective evaluations on the said program. As a closure, the PSAM had their rest and recreation last Sunday, July 27, at the Mindori Ice-Cold Resort in Inawayan, Santa Cruz, Davao del Sur.  About 35 PSAs submerged themselves in an ice-cold pool to rejuvenate and to refresh anew.

The last activity the PSAM did for the parish was their full support and assistance to the “dinner for a cause” spearheaded by the Mother Butler Mission Guild last July 29 held at the Central Park Santa Cruz Gym.  The said cause, which was participated in and dined in by about 250 parishioners and visitors, wassuccessfully launched for the purpose of finishing the OLLP adoration chapel.

As the parish already ended it previous program, on the other hand, the parish lay leaders are currently at the Pearly Farm Beach Resort in the Island Garden City of Samal (IGACOS) for its two-day drafting and finalization of the parish new two-year program for 2014-2016. About 50 lay leaders seriously laid down their pens and minds since yesterday up to the press time for their intensive planning, along with the Parish Priest Father Dexter Veloso. Father Veloso was so pleased for the successful output of the previous program, and he is very hopeful for a more colorful and meaning new wave of servicing at the OLLP, all for the better glory of God and of Mama Mary, our Lady of Lourdes.
