First Batch DDC Optometry Special Program recognized

The Optometry Department of Davao Doctors College added another milestone with its first batch of Optometry Special Program joining the 37th Commencement Exercises held on April 4, 2014 at the Convention Hall of SM Premier Lanang.

Ten students, elegantly dressed in Barong Tagalog wore the “sablay”, a symbol of excellence and march alongside the graduating batch of 2014, a first in the history of the school. They also joined the Optometry graduating interns in the Post-internship Recognition and Pinning Ceremony where they received their Certificates of Completion and awards for their exemplary performance in each affiliation centers where they were assigned.

Optometry Special Program (OSP) is a program with an enhanced curriculum containing subjects found in the K-12 prototype and embedded in the existing curriculum. Our department was selected to pilot the said program in consonance with our government’s efforts to improve its educational system for global competitiveness.

Thus, our motto “Envisioning Your Future With Us” aptly describes our commitment to create one’s future with a dynamic curriculum that rides the wave of challenges in academic pursuit.
