North Korea and South Korea exchange fire in territorial waters
North and South Korean military exchanged hundreds of artillery fires across their sea border, March 31.
CNN Reported about 100 of the 500 shells North Korea fired into the Yellow Sea strayed across the line separating the two rival countries.
“Some (North Korean) artillery fire landed in (the) southern part of Northern Limit Line but in the water,” a South Korean Ministry of Defense spokesman said adding, “We counter-fired over the Northern Limit Line.”
North Korea fired two medium-range ballistic missiles into the sea off its east coast last week, which accordingly violated United Nations resolutions prohibiting Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea from conducting such tests.
