Lenten Recollection held for Lay Formators

Thirty-five lay formators of the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Bangkal held their Lenten Recollection last March 23, 2014, at the parish pastoral building. Their Resource Speaker Sir Lunar Tan-Fayloga, a Theology Professor from Ateneo de Davao University, shared his knowledge on the “Apostolicam Actuositatem – Filipino Catholic Laity: Called to be Saints… Sent forth as Heroes!”

The recollection culminated the series of basic seminars in the parish; disposed the lay formators for the incoming Holy Week and renewal of their commitment of church services; and empowered the parish lay leaders in this Year of the Laity.

“You belong to the Church…  You are not second class members of the people of God…  You are full citizens of God’s Kingdom on earth.”  These inspiring words of Bishop Socrates ‘Soc’ Villegas, DD, as deliberated by Bishop Luis Antonio ‘Chito’ Tagle, DD, was made clear by Sir Lunar and was nurtured in the hearts and minds of the lay formators.

The lay formators attended the recollection belonged from various OLLP formation teams: Evangelization, Church Orientation, BBS, BLS, PSL, PSP, PSA, LCCP, CCRS, FLA, CFC and IIREF Graduates.

The recollection was also attended by the formators from the Saint Marys Parish Buhangin and from the Ateneo de Davao University.
