Fellowship Dinner for a Cause

More than a thousand guests showed up during a fellowship dinner for a cause which was organized by the lay leaders of the St. Francis of Assisi Quasi Parish (SFAQP) last February 13. It was also a celebration of Fr. Orly Angelia’s (SFAQ parish priest) 12th sacerdotal anniversary.

The fellowship dinner was a fund-raising activity for the construction of the parish rectory and the acquisition of the parish church’s lot. It was a dinner cum entertainment because some invited singing (and non-singing) priests entertained the audience with their voices and dances.

Rev. Fr. Junar Dela Victoria wowed the audience with his sing-and-dance opening number while Fathers Rolando Mandreza, Jovil Bongay, and Msgr. Ed Labagala charmed the young-and-old alike with their ballads. A new boy-band group was discovered that evening in the persons of Fr. Junar Dela Victoria, Fr. Lando Mandreza, Fr. Russell Bantiles, Fr. Rene Ribac, and Fr. Orly Angelia who amused the audience with their group singing.

The fellowship dinner was also graced with the presence of Archbishop Emeritus Fernando Capalla, Archbishop Romulo Valles, Fr. Dioniso Tabiliran (who led the opening prayer), Msgr. Paul Cuison, some religious and diocesan clergies, and religious nuns.

Most of the audiences were friends, benefactors, church leaders, relatives, and family members of the parish priest of SFAQP, Rev. Fr. Orly Angelia.
