Davao Doctors recognizes high school graduates with excellence in Science

Davao Doctors Hospital (DDH) and Davao Doctors College (DDC) is giving recognition to several Batch 2014 top performing science students in various high schools within and outside Davao City.

High school graduating students that have made outstanding academic performance in Science will receive a Certificate of Recognition, Cash Incentive and a Health Card from DDH and DDC. The award is dubbed as the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science.

Two of the first awardees were Bliss A. Capidos of the Davao City National High School and Jason J. Becosacer of St. Peter’s College of Toril. Capidos received the award during the Year-end Program of the Engineering & Science Education Program (ESEP) on March 21, 2014 at the DCNHS School Auditorium. Becosacer on the other hand, received his award during the 64th Commencement Exercises on March 22, 2014 at the SPCT Gym.

More awardees will be named within the week during the high school recognition and graduation programs of identified public and private high schools.

As institutions of health and wellness, DDH and DDC believe that we need to nurture and support students who will be the leaders in advancing the knowledge in the sciences. By honoring them who have demonstrated outstanding capabilities in the sciences, Professor Miguel D. Soledad, DDC President and CEO hopes that these students  continue to have the drive and passion to excel and go on to even greater personal achievements in the future by getting into science courses and become the country’s pool of scientists, researchers, doctors, nurses, medical and health care workers.
