BBS launched to OLLP lay leaders

About forty laypeople from various GKKs and parish center organizations of the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Bangkal were given Basic Bible Seminar held in the parish pastoral building last March 1 and 2, 2014.

The participants who came were about the same participants who attended last week’s Evangelization Seminar.  They were very glad as they were taught how to read the Bible.  As many of them were new Lectors, Commentators, Cantors and Psalmists of the parish, they appreciated much the value and significance of their ministry by learning and understanding the BBS.  The same, or even more, participants were also expected today and tomorrow for the Basic Liturgy Seminar, the last of the series of basic seminars.

The BBS  formation was led by Rodolfo Pelderos.  Along with him were Annie Armigos, Annie Amorado, Helena Plenos, Josephine Rellon, Elenita Biag, Ozita Mendoza, Glenda Jimenez, Joel Jimenez, Richie Reyes, Vonz Hijada, Vincent Lanuza and Bihildis Requillas.

As the OLLP is growing in leadership both in quantity and quality in various GKKs and parish organizations, the vocation in the parish is also nourishing and developing.  With this respect, its Parish Pastoral Council and Parish Finance Council visited on the same date the seminarians at the Regional Major Seminary in Catalunan Grande and showed support  as they celebrated the REMASE Pastoral Day.  This expression of camaraderie of the PPC and PFC to the seminarians had encouraged deeply the new lay leaders of the parish who were still molding themselves and nourishing their respective personal vocation and commitment of service to the parish.
