St. Mary Parish Celebrates Day of the Sick

To commemorate the World Day of the Sick, the St. Mary of the Perpetual Rosary Parish through the joint effort of the Parish Social Action Ministry and Worship Ministry with the assistance of other parish ministries celebrated the Parish Day of the Sick on February 8, 2014, which is a nearest Saturday to the Feast of  Our Lady of  Lourdes.

The Parish Day of the Sick celebration was participated by the parishioners who were sick and aged and the residents of Co Su Gian Center for Elderly in Buhangin.  Fr. Jess Samaniego, parish priest thanked the elders for coming voluntarily to attend the Holy  Eucharist.  He emphasized the importance of the annointing of the sick and encouraged them to attend the Sunday masses regardless of the pains and difficulties they encounter.  Their blood pressure was checked up by the CARITAS volunteer and snacks were served after the Holy Eucharist Celebration.
