MERS virus is deadlier than SARS virus

60 persons in Saudi Arabia have died because of the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome or MERS in the country. The Saudi has recorded 145 cases of MERS since September 2012 when it was first appeared. According to the health ministry website, the latest victim of the virus is 22-year-old young man who also reported to be suffering from cancer.

According to the website of the World Health Organization that it has 182 cases of reported MERS infection and 79 deaths worldwide.

MERS is considered deadlier than SARS but it is less-transmissible. Until now, experts are struggling to understand and to control the said virus and it still does not have any vaccine. (Dianne Alexis Premacio)
