More activities in Bangkal Parish set

The Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Bangkal had already lined up series of activities for the year 2014.  The busy year for the laity started with a continuous recruitment for a two-year Theology Formation through IIREF for all interested lay people, especially the lay leaders.

The OLLP Vicariate School of Theology had already produced at least 30 lay theologians since it was introduced in 2010.

Within these first days of this year, a thorough preparation began for the incoming parish fiesta for its week-long activities from January 31 until February 9.  This year’s feast would be a colorful celebration to highlight the empowerment of the laity in the parish in response to the challenges of the Year of the Laity.

The theme for this year’s OLLP fiesta is “Birhen Maria Among Inahan. Sa mga Katalagman, Salamat Imo Kaming Gipanalipdan ug Giubanan”.  What is uncommon in this year’s fiesta celebration are welcome cocktails, larong pinoy, and the evolution of variety presentations.

After the fiesta, various ministries and parish organizations had already set their respective recollections as preparatory for their renewal of commitment during the commemoration of the Holy Week.  Details for the Holy Week were also initially planned out. Nevertheless, more activities in OLLP were also set on the proceeding months from summer to Advent.
