“Engaging every Family in Proclaiming and Living the Word”

“But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15b

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on rock.” Matthew 7:24

If the family is the heart of Church and society, how good it is to behold each family engaging in proclaiming and living the Word. What else shall we long for if each family is ruled by the Word, centered around the Word and nourished by the Word?

In almost every family today, there’s not only one cellular phone but more, not only a computer but a tablet, not only a bicycle but a four-wheel vehicle. In the least, each family wishes to have any or all of these. But do our families have a Bible, or spend time in praying together with the Word?

We hope that with Family Bible Enthronement initiated by the Archdiocesan Bible Apostolate of Davao, headed by Mrs. Mila Punsalan as Coordinator with the Parish Coordinators of the Family and Life Apostolate, Formation, PSL and Bible Apostolate, every family may live not on bread alone but on every Word that comes from the mouth of God.
