DADITAMA mission accomplished for Tacloban
The Davao, Digos, Tagum and Mati (DADITAMA) ecclesiastical subregion organized a medical mission to help the victims of Typhoon Yolanda in Tacloban and neighboring towns, January 19-25.
Spearheaded by the Archdiocesan Social Action Center (ASAC) of Davao, the four dioceses sent their respective representative volunteers from various medical professions to provide a concrete help to the typhoon victims who are slowly going to their road to recovery.
The medical mission is part of the projects of the recently-organized Daditama Disaster Management Ministry (DDMM) which aims to provide response to the ‘new normal’ which are the different forms of disasters pounding the country especially in 2013.
Around 90 volunteer nurses, doctors, medical technologists and other priests, religious and lay volunteers from Davao are among the 235 volunteers of DaDiTaMa who went to Cariraga, and Mayorga towns in Tacloban to provide medical services, feeding and spiritual integration for the typhoon victims.
