Holy Family Parish marks 1st Youth Fiesta

In celebration of San Pedro Calungsod’s Feast Day the youth’s Patron Saint Parish, the Holy Family Parish Youth Apostolate held their first ever Youth Fiesta last October 19-20, 2013. To solemnly start the occasion, the activities were initiated through the Holy Mass presided by Rev. Fr. Ricky C. Peñalosa. After the mass, The Sports Fest started. To lower down the competing teams, the GKKs are reclassified into different Christian Communities or CCs. The PYA wanted the youth to have camaraderie not just within their GKK but also to the other youths in the Parish.

The next day, our Parish Priest, Fr. RickyPeñalosa, provided an input to inspire the youth especially the Youth leaders to overcome their human imperfections and serve others with God’s Grace. Also, he highlighted 3 different virtues of San Pedro Calungsod that should be the inspiration of the youth such as being Faithful in God, willingness to serve the Church and being prayerful. The Praise and Worship Concert highlighted the event in which Fr. Ricky serenaded the youth with the song, Lead Me Lord.

The awarding of the certificates and winners of the events concluded the activity.
