CFC Heralding Good News to lead

The Committed Servants Weekend 2013 of Couples for Christ Singles for Family and Life was held last September 14-15, 2013, Camp Mary Hill, Marapangi, Toril, Davao City.

Twenty eight (28) delegates joined in from far places like Tandag, Surigao del Sur, and Polomoloc, South Cotabato where most of the delegates came from.
Davao City hosted the event. It intended to form Committed Servants to lead groups and become models to others.

Polomoloc’s Michael Porras said, “Daghan ko’g gusto mahibaw-an unsaon pagkaleader sa community(CFC-SFL).”
We were powered up after receiving the Holy Spirit as Acts 1:8 reveals, “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes to you and you will be My witnesses to the ends of the earth.”

The CFC-SFL now uses Social Media as one mode in addressing the new evangelization. In fact, from the point of view of Pope Paul VI from his encyclical (letter of the Pope address to the faithful) Evangelii Nuntiandi (Evangelization in the Modern World), it declares, “She exists in order to evangelize.” The “She” here refers to Social Communications and Mass Media. This is another answer to the mandate of the Church’ Inter Mirifica (Decree on the Media of Social Communications) as solemnly promulgated by Pope Paul VI on December 04, 1963.

Each Next-Generation evangelizers need to pray first before using the Social Media for evangelization. We need to be guided by the Holy Spirit. Along with this is the passion for evangelization. It is a strict requirement to have the enthusiasm to evangelize others. Lastly, we post at the end. There is a guidance of the Holy Spirit with the help of the Holy Triune God: God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Fliqmedia’s Ministry’s Head is Xavier Padilla along with 7 of the full-time workers. Xavier is the son of the General Servant Frank Padilla. Right now they are encouraging CFC-SFLs to volunteer and join in the research, graphic lay out, photography, editing, proofreading, and writing articles.

We are challenged to become evangelizers of this generation and in the next. We need to ‘socialize.’ Jesus Himself is a perfect communicator.
