BEC-USeP stands up for Catholic faith; holds Living Rosary

As the semester ends, the Basic Ecclesial Community of the University of Southeastern Philippines culminates the celebration of the Month of Holy Rosary, on October 24, 2013, Thursday, in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Lady of the Most Holy Rosary and to her son Jesus Christ the center of this devotion. Through constant prayer, trust and divine providence of the Almighty Father, the activity which is the Human Rosary (living rosary) had come to realization on the date mentioned at about 6:30pm to 7:30pm at the school open field with the permission of the University President, Dr. Perfecto Alibin.
This event organized by the students of different Catholic organizations of the said University, joined by the students from different colleges, will not only culminate the Month of Rosary but at the same time “A PRAYER FOR A CAUSE”. In every mystery (Luminous Mystery) there will be an intention, for the 1st mystery, (The Baptism of Christ in the Jordan River), is for the peace in Zamboanga and to any part of the Philippines and the world because of arm conflict, 2nd mystery, (The Manifestation in the wedding at Cana), is for the victims of calamities at central Visayas, specifically at Bohol, Cebu and other affected areas, that may the families do not lose their hope, put their trust to God and obtain their strength from Him, 3rd mystery, (The Proclamation of the Kingdom of God),is for the Philippine government, that God may enlighten the officials to do what is right and just for the common good and welfare of the citizens, for the resolution of PDAF Scam and for the peaceful Barangay Elections, 4th mystery, (the transfiguration of Christ), is for the administration of the University from the President, to the faculty members, down to all the staffs and students, for continuous blessings, guidance and to pass the 1st semester for the students and 5th mystery, (The Institution of the Holy Eucharist), is for personal and family’s intention of those who joined the activity and also those who were just in their college buildings and other members of the Catholic Ministry who were not able to come, that may God hear their prayers and concerns through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Our Mother of Perpetual Help together with all the Saints and Angels in heaven. In bent knees, the students who participated had altogether prayed the sacred devotion to Mama Mary and to Jesus Christ, with utmost sincerity and hope.

The organizers of that historical event, the Catholic Organizations (Catholic Faith Defenders, Youth for Christ and Young Flames for Jesus, under one community the Basic Ecclesial Community), would like to thank and appreciate a million times the divine providence of God Almighty with the prompting of the Holy Spirit for granting their prayers through Jesus Christ His Son and the intercession of our Blessed Mother, for the activity had been successful and overwhelming, because the weather became pleasant, many had participated and contributed their time, treasures, talents and prayers and most of all the students had knew new friends.

May God grant the prayers from your heart and believe that He will, for everything is possible in Him. Constantly pray the Holy Rosary to obtain more Graces, Gratias et Benedicat Deus. Ad Iesum per Mariam! Happy Year of Faith!
