Groundbreaking of new chapel on the 39th TDM foundation anniversary held
On the occasion of the 39th Anniversary of the Foundation of the Teresian Daughters of Mary, the ground breaking of the new chapel was held last September 15, 2013 with Most Reverend Romulo G. Valles, DD, Archbishop of Davao.
Archbishop Valles who graced the groundbreaking hopes that the groundbreaking does not only emphasize building structure for a chapel for worship but also building our relationship with God.
He was also the celebrant and homilist at the Eucharistic celebration and he emphasized that on the occasion of the founding of the TDM congregation which falls on the feast day of Our Lady of Sorrow, the sisters should be able to follow the virtues and life of Mother Mary, who followed her Son Jesus at the foot of the cross and on His crucifixion. He further said that like the Sorrowful Mother, may the TDM community stand firm as TDM despite the hardships, trials and sufferings.
Fr. Camilo Villanueva, retired priest from La Union, Msgr. Jimmy Gamboa, chancellor of the Archdiocese of Davao and Rev. Fr. Bill Larouse, M.M., Vicar for Religious were present during the celebration.
The ground breaking was held at 4:30 in afternoon and the Eucharistic celebration at 5:00PM at the TDM Compound, Matina, Davao City. Dinner was served to all guests and friends of the TDM. (@dcherald)
