Groundbreaking of the Calasanz De Davao Academy

The Piarist Fathers celebrate the groundbreaking of their new Catholic school at Brgy. Baliok, Talomo District, Davao City last September 9, 2013.
The groundbreaking ceremony was participated by the Piarist fathers, Piarist lay collaborators, Brgy. Captain Antonio Tenazas and with the special presence of the Archbishop of Davao Most Reverend Romulo Valles who blessed the place.
“I am happy because they work for the church. Knowing that there would be a new school is a blessing,” Archbishop Valles said.
Piarist Fathers have existed since four hundred years that is taking roots in the Philippines. Because of having a good number of Piarists from Mindanao, they also begin their foundation here in Davao City. (Lucenette Burgors)
