PWHS hungers for more

After the noon time mass at the San Pedro Cathedral, and a quick lunch, some 20 or so PWHS members trooped to the Social Hall for a much-awaited talk of Fr. Joel “Joca” Caasi on the Sources of our Catholic Faith.

One basic and wise rule in the practice of our faith is for us to seek knowledge through the Catechism of the Catholic Church, papal encyclicals, traditions, and the Bible. Fr. Caasi said that catholic bibles bear the stamp of “imprimatur” and “nihil obstat” on its first pages, and he advised all to use this bible. Our apostolate includes visiting and praying over the dead. Unless PWHS has the previous approval of the Bishop, only the Bishop and priests are qualified to use holy water to bless the dead. The talk of Fr. Joca deepened the desire to know more of our Catholic faith. Fr. Caasi’s 3-hour talk seemed too short. Opened to the roots and basis of our faith, PWHSians now has a hunger for more of these teachings. Surely, Fr. Joca will be kept busy these coming days!

This July 29 event has been planned beforehand by the members and the board of officers. As early as now, there is an ongoing planning for masses for each day of November for all the Holy Souls.

PWHS is always open to new members. We meet for holy mass at the San Pedro Cathedral every 2nd Monday of every month. For more information, our website is pwhs-mfi.org, email address is: info@pwhs-mfi.org and SMS number is +639189290603.

JESUS promised St. Gertrude the release of 1,000 souls each time this is prayed. So come and join us as we pray ETERNAL FATHER, WE OFFER YOU THE MOST PRECIOUS BLOOD OF YOUR DIVINE SON JESUS, IN UNION WITH ALL THE HOLY MASSES SAID THROUGHOUT THE WORLD TODAY, FOR ALL THE HOLY SOULS IN PURGATORY, FOR SINNERS EVERYWHERE, FOR SINNERS IN YOUR UNIVERSAL CHURCH, THOSE IN OUR OWN HOMES, AND WITHIN OUR FAMILIES.
