Scholars of St. Mary project launched

The Scholars of St. Mary Project was launched last May 12, 2013 at St. Mary of the Perpetual Rosary Parish in Buhangin through the initiative of our Parish Priest, Fr. Jess Samaniego and spearheaded by the Parish Social Action Ministry through its coordinator, Bro. Jojo Corage.

Through the donation of the kind-hearted parishioners, the parish was able to support thirty (30) grade 7 students who are children of the indigent parishioners.  They are enrolled in the different public schools in the city namely:  Bernardo Carpio National High School in Buhangin, Cabantian National High School and Davao City National High School.

As scholars of St. Mary, they are entitled for free school supplies and uniform for a period of one (1) year.

On-going orientation and formation will be given to both students and parents by the formation ministry of the Parish.
