Chronicles of the Thanksgiving Masses of Bishop Ronald Lunas STL, DD

St. Joseph Parish, Sta. Cruz

Feb. 16, 5 days after his ordination, Bishop Lunas held a thanksgiving mass at St. Joseph Parish in Sta. Cruz.

After the mass, the GKKs decided to hold a gathering of all the 69 GKKs in St. Joseph Parish. They brought their own provisions for dinner and shared the abundance of food from the grateful parishioners.

The evangelizers of the St. Joseph Parish presented a stage play and wrapped it up with a dance number after the play.

Inawayan

The Rogationist priests concelebrated with Bishop Lunas during the Thanksgiving Mass in the morning of Feb 16, 2019.

Bishop Lunas joined the parishioners of St. John Paul 2 Sub Parish for breakfast after the mass.

Bishop Lunas was joined at the altar by the Rogationist priests namely: Fr. Ruel Dessamparado RCA, Fr. Carlo Balaguer RCJ, Fr. Guilio Belarmino RCJ, Fr. Ronald Masilang RCJ, Fr. Antonio Nocellado RCJ and Fr. Sherwin Valenzuela RCJ.

Malalag

Bishop Lunas was greeted by the Holy Cross of Malalag Band with a short dancing exhibition upon arrival.

He was joined by the parish priest, Rev. Fr. Dioscoro Malugaw MAFR, Rev. Fr. Sergio V. Salinas MAFR (asst. parish priest) and a diocesan priest Rev. Fr. Juan Maria P. Momo during the celebration of the Eucharist.

The Offertory was led by the the GKK leaders, pastoral and ministerial leaders & coordinators of the parish and mostly coming from the generous parishioners.

Sto. Rosario Parish, Malita

Bishop Lunas went to the image of our Lady of the Rosary to burn incense, offer prayers and offered flowers.

He was joined at the altar by the parish priest, Rev. Fr. Kim Cossid DCD, Asst. priest Rev. Fr. Richard Laquinon DCD, Rev. Fr. Consorcio Lopez DCD (Diocesan Procurator) and Rev. Fr. Joey Evangelista, MJ.

San Vicente Ferrer, Bangkal

Bishop Lunas was joined by Rev Fr Allan Joie Nunez, the parish priest of San Vicente Ferrer in Bangkal, Matanao Davao Sur.

San Isidro Labrador Parish

Feb. 17, Bishop Lunas held Thanksgiving Mass at San Isidro Labrador Parish. He was concelebrated by his brother priests: Rev. Fr. Rico Dingal DCD, Rev. Fr. Marvin Zamora DCD & Rev. Fr. Consorcio Lopez DCD

Bishop Lunas joined the Digos Clergy Presbyterium on March 4, 2019.
