Happiness and Joy

What is happiness and joy?
It is dancing under the rain

It is to smile amidst the pain
It is to see the flowers bloom
It is to rise when we feel we are doomed
It is to see a hand reaching out to give
It is to share the love we have received
It is to see the smile of a child
It is to have a heart so pure and so mild
It is to chat with a treasured friend
It is a time spent not in vain
It is to see the sunrise and the sunset
It is the forgiveness we give to ourselves when we are upset
It is to feel the hug of an enemy
It is to give a chance for our ultimate destiny
It is to hear the laughter of the poor
It is to think that we are no better than others but mere tools
It is to have the presence of a saintly person
It is to desire holiness for God alone
It is to see the energy of the young
It is to believe that we are yet to become a very beautiful melody ready to be sung
This happiness and joy that we see and experience within ourselves everyday
May make our hearts grow to love God and others intensely without delay
